About me

Welcome to my website I am Sofia Magony integrative psychologist and psychedelic guide.

I was born and raised in Budapest Hungary. My academical back ground lays in sociology and philosophy. After I finished my studies at the Peter Pazmany Catholic University I have moved to London where I started my career in the social sector and worked with people with learning difficulties and/or mental health issues. Since a young age I was very interested in deep questions like who we are and what is our purpose in life. Although my family's world view was rather materialistic as a teenager I developed a strong belief that we are part of a greater existence and that there is a spiritual aspect to our life. At the same time I was struggling with social anxiety, CPTSD and substance abuse, in order to understand myself better I turned to psychology and ancient practices like breath work, yoga and meditation. As I regained balance and lifeforce I went on to earn my degree in Integrative Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy at the Contemporary Collage of Therapeutic Studies in London.

As the opportunity came I had the luck to live in Rome and Florence for a few years. In the last 6 years I have been based in the Netherlands.

My wide range of experience with people from all walks of life and different cultures allows me to easily connect with others.

I consider myself an ''empath'', someone who can quicky and precisely tune into other's feelings and inner states. I use this skill to adequately support my clients during their psychedelic journey and my compassion to help me hold a save place for them.

My Experience with Psychedelics

I first took LSD at the age of 17, and I still consider that experience one of the most profound awakenings of my life. It radically shifted my perception of reality and seeded my conviction that we are invisibly connected to something greater. That first journey felt like a true initiation into transformation.

While my use of psychedelics in my twenties was mostly recreational, the past six years have been a much deeper and more intentional exploration. During a period marked by midlife transition, divorce, grief and letting go, I turned to the therapeutic use of psychedelics. These experiences helped me heal, integrate, and step into a more whole and authentic version of myself.

Why work with me?

If you’re considering psychedelic therapy for the first time, it’s completely natural to feel a mix of curiosity, excitement, and nervousness.

I specialize in supporting people who are new to this path — especially those who may be carrying unresolved trauma, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm.

My approach is trauma-informed, which means I move at your pace, always honoring your boundaries and inner safety. I create a grounded, compassionate space where nothing about you needs to be fixed — only understood, felt, and integrated with care.

You won’t be walking this journey alone. I bring together professional training in hypnotherapy, NLP, and somatic practices with my own healing experiences to guide and support you holistically — mind, body, and soul.

You can expect deep presence, gentle encouragement, and a space where all of you is welcome — even the parts that feel messy, confused, or scared.

If you’re ready to take that first step toward self-discovery, healing, or simply reconnecting with yourself, I’m here to walk beside you.
